Most makeup artists start right out of cosmetology school, but my journey? It’s had some twists and turns. After completing cosmetology school 10 years ago, I worked part-time as a hairstylist and part-time as a paralegal. The part-time paralegal gig soon turned into full-time and the beauty career took a backseat. Fast forward a few years, or a lot of years… something was missing. I’ve always been surrounded by brilliant women rocking it in the professional world. Awesome women, working full time while juggling families, philanthropic commitments, and more. They accomplished so much. But in the middle of it all, I began to notice a common theme…

They ALWAYS put themselves last on their ‘list’.

Sound familiar? Full-time mother or CEO, us ladies have this habit of taking care of everyone and everything else before taking care of ourselves. But why? We know investing in ourselves boosts our confidence and creates amazing days that make it all worth it. So why do we settle for the same thrown-together beauty routine we created in college? Let’s face it. Most of us don’t have time to experiment. And no one wants to waste hundreds of dollars picking product off a Sephora shelf just hoping YouTube will steer us right. So we stick with the same look, day after day…year after year…even as our skin, our lifestyle, and the world around us changes.

Makeupology isn’t just a makeup and brow studio. My mission is much bigger. I want to give you the skills, tools, and confidence to take charge of your beauty routine; to walk out the door ready to take on the world having put yourself on the top of your list, no matter how great your responsibility.
